Publication Alert: Dismantling Press

Rage, Well Spoken: Why Women are Refusing Silence

It’s a hell of a timely title, isn’t it? In a world where, more than ever, women are being told to sit down and shut up, this book is taking no shit.

This anthology consists of a wide array of talented, woman-identifying authors. We’re from all over the world with disparate backgrounds, but have come together in solidarity to share individual stories of collective women’s experiences. It’s angry and heartbreaking. It’s also brave and inspirational.

My story—”Girls* Don’t Fart and Other Things Men Confidently Believe” takes you on an uncomfortably personal and sometimes irreverent romp into the world of medical misogyny. Don’t let the cheeky tone fool you. It’s sometimes life-or-death.

Now, before you get your panties in a bunch when you see the publisher is a straight dude, I think it is important to remember that cishet white men have all the power. And so they have the responsibility to speak up for women and make space for our voices. And that’s exactly what publisher & editor Trond E. Hildahl has done.

I also love that Dismantling Press has included a side project called “Micro Rages” where women are invited to share their own stories of rage. Ladies, make your voices heard!

If you are a woman, have a mother (sister, partner, grandmother, etc.) that you love, if you know women, if you think women are people…this is the book for you. If not, this is also the book for you. Get a copy today!
